What is a DSL cable with galvanic signature?
The galvanic signature is a small, passive test element inside the TAE plug of your DSL cable. It creates a unique electrical "fingerprint" that your network provider can read remotely from the exchange. If you have internet issues - no connection, drops, slow speeds - the provider can automatically check from the exchange whether your line is intact and your cable is correctly connected. The result: diagnosis in seconds instead of hours, fewer unnecessary technician visits and shorter outages. A clear quality advantage over DSL cables without this feature.
What speed does the Eleknik DSL cable support?
The Eleknik DSL cable supports VDSL connections up to 250 Mbps and is suitable for Super Vectoring (VDSL 250). It works equally well with classic DSL, ADSL, ADSL2+ and VDSL.
Is the cable compatible with my router (Fritzbox, Speedport)?
Yes. The Eleknik DSL cable has a TAE plug on one side (for the wall socket) and an RJ45 plug on the other - compatible with all common DSL routers, including AVM Fritzbox, Telekom Speedport, Vodafone routers and other DSL modems.
Which lengths and colors are available?
The Eleknik DSL cable is available in eight lengths: 0.25 m, 0.5 m, 1 m, 2 m, 4 m, 6 m, 10 m and 15 m. Available in white and black - every length in both colors.

What is the difference between TAE and RJ45 plugs?
The TAE plug (Telekommunikations-Anschluss-Einheit) is the German standard for telephone wall sockets. The RJ45 plug is the same connector you know from networking - but on DSL cables only two of the eight pins are used (the 8P2C variant), because the DSL signal only needs two wires. Our DSL cable combines both - TAE for the wall socket, RJ45 for the DSL port on the router.
